Our Youth are back from their Philadelphia mission trip. They had a wonderful time.

Our Upward committee is planning the 2008-2009 Upward Basketball & Cheerleading season. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Sallie at 704-754-4842.

There are a number of opportunities to participate in this wonderful ministry! Some areas include:

• Prayer partners (who pray daily for the teams)
• Coaches for Basketball and Cheerleading
• Referees
• Devotions
• Fundrasing
• Advertising
• Assiting in gym set-up/take down
• Concessions

This year we would like to pass out frozen popsicles from our float during the Fourth of July parade. Please ensure that we have enough by bring a box or two by the church office or to church next week.

Thank you for your help in making our Fourth of July float a success this year!

Our First Grade Communion Class will begin on Sunday, July 6, at 10:00 am in the sanctuary. The class will meet weekly during the month of July.

Please keep this group in your prayers as they prepare for this blessed Sacrament.

The Lutheran Men in Mission will have their next meeting on Sunday, June 10, at 10:00 am.

Practice for the 4th of July Chorus will be held every Sunday in June at 3:00pm. Please meet at Faith Baptist Church.

Faith Fire Dept. Auxiliary is planning to have a yard sale on June 14 to benefit the Faith Fire Dept. Items are needed to ensure the events success. Drinks and coffee will be available for purchase. If you would like to donate any items, please call 704-209-3766. All proceeds go to the Faith Fire Dept.

Please plan to attend the Mother-Daughter Banquet in our Family Life Center on Friday, May 30, 2008. More details to be posted at a later date.

Faith Lutheran Church, WELCA will be hosting a banquet on Saturday, May 17, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm to honor our Senior Adults from Faith Baptist, Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith and Faith Lutheran.

Join us Sunday, May 11, for a Mother's Day Luncheon immediately following our 11:00 am worship service.

Vacation Bible School will be held June 23-27, 2008 from 9:00 am - 11:45 am in the Family Life Center. This year's theme is Rainforest Adventure.
